This School provides educational and rehabilitation services to children with intellectual disabilities from the age of 6 to 14. It aims to develop their academic, cognitive, behavioral, language, self-reliance, physical, and social skills, as well as general safety to become more independent and self-reliant. The capacity of this Program is 35 children. Salwa one of the school teachers says: “My sense of belonging to Star Mountain Rehabilitation Center grew a lot during my work. I love working with my children here as they constitute a part of my heart”
This Program is implemented through a project titled “Access to Education for Children with Intellectual Disabilities” funded by the Knodel Foundation. It is also funded by the Heidehoff Foundation and the Worldwide Moravian Church in Germany.
